Happy Spring !

I love the spring time- The weather is PERFECT and it just makes you happy to be outside and enjoying life. I love celebrating Easter. It was so much fun coloring eggs, searching and watching the kids fill up with excitement! More importantly, it gives our family a chance to focus on the Savior and His sacrifice and resurrection. I know that my Savior Lives and Loves Me. I know He listens to and answers my prayers. One way that He shows me this is by giving us living prophets to guide me and my family.

Easter weekend, we had the opportunity to listen to General Conference. It is a week where leaders of our church give counsel and guidance for ourselves and our families. Lately I had been feeling overwhelmed with the responsibility to teach and guide my children as a mother. I want my children to be prepared and strong in standing up for the truth and making good choices in a world that is so confused- I know that it is my responsibility to teach them this. I want to do the very best that I can, and felt that I could be doing a better job.

Listening to the talks on Easter weekend gave me such a renewed strength and encouragement as a mother. It seemed so many talks were focus on motherhood and families. It was just what I needed. I am so grateful for my wonderful family. I know I have been blessed with wonderful children who were sent specifically to me. I have the best husband in the world to help me. I have the knowledge and the faith to accomplish my calling as a mother. With the Lords help I know I can become Better.

Here are some of the talks about motherhood and raising children. They will bring greater peace and hope- I encourage you to read them!!

Happy Spring to all!

Thanks for the post. You are a great mom and a wonderful example to me. I am so excited to see what great adults your children turn out to be.
